Giving Guidelines

If you are interested in submitting a donation request, please review the following eligibility requirements:

  • Organizations must be established for a minimum of one year and be federally tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Tax-Exempt Status”).
  • Request for funding must closely align with Swire Coca-Cola’s People and Planet focus areas. 
    • People: Economic Empowerment (College & Career Readiness and Workforce Development) and Community Resiliency (Disaster Relief, Food Insecurity, Strengthening Communities).
    • Planet: Sustainable Packaging and Circularity, Water Stewardship, and Climate Protection. 
  • Organizations must be in the United States and serve the communities where Swire Coca-Cola operates. View the region map for specific locations
  • Organizations must be in alignment with the Responsible Marketing Policy.
  • In order to consider the many requests we receive and to be the best stewards of our resources for the community partners and organizations we work with, only one request will be considered per organization during a 12-month period unless invited by a Swire Coca-Cola associate.
  • All requests must be submitted through our website at least 60 days in advance.


Donations are not provided for the following:

  • Organizations whose primary purpose is to influence legislation, political causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns. 
  • Religious organizations for general support or mission-focused work. We do consider requests from religious organizations with 501(c)(3) status to provide community outreach or programs that align with our focus areas and support the greater, secular community and are not limited to a specific religious affiliation (example a food pantry that serves the greater community).  
  • Organizations or programs that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, military status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic under applicable local, state or federal law.
  • Recreational, sporting, or athletic associations, unless serving special needs or underserved populations.  
  • Funding requests for group, team or individual travel expenses. 
  • Funding requests for campaigns or initiatives to eliminate/control diseases. 
  • Individuals or individual fundraising efforts for organizations.
  • Programs focused on youth under the age of 13.
    Organizations must be in alignment with the Beverage Global Marketing Policy for Children. 


In-Kind Donations:

  • In-Kind Donations should meet the guidelines provided above.
  • Products donated to an organization are for charitable purposes only and may not be marketed or resold.
  • Products donated to events with youth attendees must be in alignment with the Global School Beverage Policy.
